Several years ago I bought a pink shawl from Old Navy. It was on sale for $6, so I never would have been able to knit it myself so cheaply. Every time I wear it I get compliments, and I've been meaning to make a wrap of my own. I decided on
this one, and last week I started knitting.
I'm using Banana Silk Yarn in Downpour, which is a mixture of purple, dark blue, and grey.

This isn't the best picture, but you get the idea. The yarn is made from banana plant stalks and leaves and some silk. Which I did not know when I bought it, and it kind of makes me gag a little bit because oh shit, that is so hippie. It's very soft though.
I haven't finished a knitting project since a scarf I made on my train trip last fall! I haven't been feeling very crafty this year, but in the last couple weeks my brain has been flooded with ideas. My mental health has gone through such a readjustment since that trip, and I think a lot of this year has been filled up with just trying to adapt to a new, better life. So hopefully I'm getting into the groove, and I can start crafting, crafting, crafting!
